Sprout is an AR experience that lets the user try their flower before their plant it.

The goal of Augmented Reality is to enable the user to see the unseen or the expected future.

When it comes to gardening, I have always thought that flower seed packagings don’t give enough details about the visual aspect of its plant once grown. I have no knowledge in gardening and I wish I could instantly visualize how my plant will develop in an fun and interactive way as it takes a few weeks before getting a visual sprout. Users should be able to « try » their flower before they plant its seed; it will teach them about gardening and help them to make better arrangement choices.

User Journey

Target Users

I used the Botanical Interests’ flower seeds packaging as the Image Marker for my AR product. The experience focuses on the 3 stages of the sunflower evolution: seed, sprout and the final state of the flower.

I designed and coded the AR prototype using Unity and XCode.
